Missions

Highland is a cooperating Southern Baptist church. As such, missions is at the heart of what we do. The first items in our budget are for missions. Our support assists local missions through the Northeast Louisiana Baptist Association, in Louisiana through the Louisiana Baptist Convention, nationally through the North American Mission Board, and around the world through the International Mission Board. Special mission offerings are received on a regular basis to support missionaries sent by SBC entities. A percentage or our budget also is set aside for local and SBC missions. Several of our members have gone on short-term missions trips overseas. Our students have taken mission trips inside the United States. Our WMU meets monthly for missions studies and ministry. We believe missions are vital, and we demonstrate that by both giving and going.
