Know Jesus Be Saved

CONSIDER THIS:And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life. These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:11-13 AKJV)
We must understand the meaning of the word "believe." It is more than head knowledge, as indicated in James 2:19: You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the devils believe-and tremble!
| You must understand and place confidence in what God says about you. |  |
| 1. You are a sinner. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one … For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:10, 23) 2. You are going to die because of sin. "For the wages of sin is death... (Romans 6:23a) 3. The Lake of Fire is the final destination for those who do not surrender to Jesus. "And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15) |

God is holy. "Because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy.'" (1 Peter 1:16) God loves you. "But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) God has provided you the way to Heaven. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6) |
| You must understand and place confidence in what Jesus said about believing in Him. |  |
 It's more than just saying words. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." (Matthew 7:21) We must repent. "I tell you, Nay: but, unless ye repent, you shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3) It's a commitment. "And when He had called the people to Him, with his disciples also, He said to them, 'Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.'" (Mark 8:34-38) |

| Proof Positive That You Know 100% You Are Going to Heaven |

1. Heaven and relationship with Jesus are gifts from God. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) 2. God gives you a new life and attitude. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17) 3. You will want to obey Jesus because you love Jesus and others. "If you love Me, keep My commandments." (John 14:15) "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:37-39) 4. You will love the church because Jesus loved it. "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28) "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it…" (Ephesians 5:25) 5. You will be miserable if you are out of fellowship with Jesus. "For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and punishes every son whom He receives." If you endure discipline, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons." (Hebrews 12:6-8) 6. You will have complete confidence that Jesus is faithful to keep you forever. "For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." (2 Timothy 1:12) |

Commit your all to Jesus and be in church this Sunday to learn more about Jesus. Jesus loves you! |

For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord sall be saved. (Romans 10:13) ...That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. (Romans 10:9-10) If, when reading this message from God's word, you became convicted of sin and aware of a need to repent, place your faith in Jesus, and be saved, we encourage you to take that step of faith right now. Pray and ask God to forgive you and save you, genuinely commiting your life to live for Jesus Christ the crucified and risen Savior, and you will be saved.
